but also its a part of who they are... like, if they hide that from you or you're too scared to ask/know... then there ur not getting to know the real person are u?

I think you can still get to know the people newbie. You never know what was going on with that person before you met them, and I think it's unfair to judge them before knowing why they did things they did. I've been with a whopping 3. I know androg has been with more, but i'll admit i don't know how many. It doesn't change who she is to me, and i won't be jealous. We've talked about it, and she has her reasons, if she wants to tell you i'll let her, that's her business, but i figure if and when she's ready she'll tell me, she will. I'm not gonna stop loving her no matter what that number is. Like i tell her, as long as she's not fucking those people right now, it doesn't matter.

I had quite a wayward youth. I dated boys and played with girls...and sometimes other boys. I also did a fair amount of substances while I was out and could drink quite a bit. Oh the benefits of having parents that worked all the time and being the golden child, and knowing people with money. I honestly do not know how many people of any gender I have had some form of sexual encounter with, some Im not so sure I instantly knew the gender anyway. I know the few I admit to, mostly because I had some sort of twisted relationship with them and I had to see them thus remember them sober. lol!

Sobriety has brought out my old mafia style loyalty, Id probably cap somebody for looking at Snake to hard :)

I have learned the hard way not to ask. After I know the number I want to know who and if they are still hanging around. If I know them and think that they are prettier then me...

It's better when you don't know.

For me, ex-girlfriends are important because it's a window into someone's past and if you can't embrace their past then you're only getting half the package. Like someone else said a while ago, you can learn from it all - and find out who they used to be and what issues are likely to be lurking, understand any possible threats etc. I'm not interested in the 'NUMBER' of women someone has had especially if they were casual flings/one night stands, unless they want to tell me, I'm also not interested in girls who are only likely to be there for the night - I know I sound horrifically boring but I need security more than I need sex.



(I don't know if this attitude to completely embracing and not in anyway condemning a past when deciding if I like someone is so important to me because of my job - working with young offenders who NEED you to do that)
